• ITMO in Top 100 of THE Impact Rankings in Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

  THE University Impact Rankings evaluates universities based on their contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ITMO entered the top 400 of the overall ranking, with each of the university’s seven SDG initiatives included in their respective rankings and one of them featuring in the top 100.

• ITMO Master’s Student Becomes a United Nations SDG Youth Ambassador

  Maria Zalieva, a student of ITMO University’s Institute of Design & Urban Studies, was named a winner of the United Nations’ Russian SDG Youth Ambassadors contest. She discussed the responsibilities of youth ambassadors and her path from translation to urban studies with ITMO.NEWS.

• ITMO University Gains Positions in THE University Impact Rankings

  THE University Impact Rankings is the world’s only ranking to assess universities based on their contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participating universities must contribute to at least four SDGs, including the 17th – development of global partnerships. This year, ITMO University was included in four categories, all named after the corresponding goals: no poverty (SDG 1), industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17). In the general ranking, ITMO was included among the global top 400 and received numbered positions in all four categories; in one category, the university was ranked among the top 100.
