ITMO.EduStars Winner Vladimir Mitropov on Key Principles for Teaching
The physicist Vladimir Mitropov graduated from ITMO with a PhD degree and worked for 20 years at a private company in the industrial refrigeration sector. However, he returned to the university as a lecturer, eventually winning last year’s ITMO.EduStars contest and nabbing an award for achievements in education. We asked him to share why understanding is more important than grades, how the cold helps museums stay moth-free, and what tasks thermodynamics solves nowadays.
