  • Recognizing Personality by Face and Controlling a Loader in VR: ITMO’s Pre-Accelerator + Highpark Participants at the Innovation Forum

    Five teams from ITMO Pre-accelerator + Highpark presented their projects in front of Japanese IT experts at the St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum. Among these projects were a new digital platform for construction works and an optimizer for browser bookmarks and files storage. ITMO.NEWS saw the presentation and learned about the products that still need to be developed and the ones that might shortly become available on the market.

  • University of the Future: Russian and British University Officials Discuss Trends in Education

    This Thursday, ITMO University hosted a meeting of university officials from the UK and St. Petersburg, a follow-up to the First Forum of Rectors of Russian and British Universities that was held in Moscow. The key event of the day was a round table discussion on universities of the future. The participants talked about the best educational practices and ways to attract talent while discussing possible collaboration in the field of student academic mobility.

  • ITMO’s Robotics Team Wins Silver at World Robot Olympiad 2019

    The 2019 World Robot Olympiad, an international robotics competition for talented school and university students from over 70 countries, has just come to a close in the city of Győr, Hungary. Led by coach Igor Lositsky, ITMO University whizzes took second place, surpassing more than 30 teams in the Senior High age category. They presented their project LEGO Education Helper, a smart table that cleans itself.
