Studio 44 will receive a tender of 337 million rubles sourced from the federal budget funds to conduct engineering surveys and prepare design documentation for facilities at ITMO Highpark.

“We have worked with Studio 44 in the past and know they are reliable partners. Once the design is finished and approved by the State Expertise Center, we will be ready to make a start on the construction of our facilities and first houses,” comments Andrey Nazarov, CEO of ITMO Highpark JSC.

The second and third stages of the project include the construction of three research centers (30,000 square meters), which will house 50 international laboratories and no less than five innovation productions, as well as sports facilities (22,000 square meters) and dormitories (43,278 square meters).

“The fact that we landed this tender is important for several reasons. We see ITMO Highpark as a breakthrough project in terms of design approaches and principles, and we’re honored to have worked with such clients as ITMO and ITMO Highpark JSC. During the first stage of the project, we learned what’s like to construct campuses in general and we hope that this experience will help us with the other two, as well,” shares Anton Yar-Scriabin, a partner at Studio 44 and the main architect of ITMO Highpark and its first construction stage.

ITMO Highpark is a world-class research, education, and innovation center in the satellite city Yuzhny, Pushkinsky District, St. Petersburg. The complex will become home to an academic campus for Master’s and PhD students, a tech valley, and a business park for technology companies. The project is implemented as part of the state program Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation.
