Challenge and Innovation Forum: International Competition

On November 7-11, the Qatar Scientific Club will host the Challenge and Innovation Forum 2021 (CIF Qatar 2021) in Doha, Qatar. The forum will include two competitions that seek to motivate and inspire inventors around the world:

• Inventions Exhibition (for individuals)
  

Each participant will present their invention to an expert board. The projects will be reviewed and evaluated by an international jury, which will select five winners. The competition’s total prize pool equals $100,000. All participants must have a granted patent, as well as a physical prototype of the submitted project that can be shipped to Qatar. 

• Hackathon (for teams)

The competition will take place at the laboratories and workshops of the Qatar Scientific Club. It will bring together scientists who enjoy working in teams and are ready to develop a scientific project from idea to prototype within 48 hours. The jury will choose the three best projects. The overall prize pool is $130,000; selected projects will also receive $25,000 to continue their development.

Participation in the event is free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the competition.
