As part of the cooperation agreement between University ITMO and the Ryazan region, on 10-11 of October 2013 there was a visit of representatives of University ITMO to the high-tech enterprises of the Ryazan region. The visit was organized by the Ministry of Industry, Innovation and Information Technologies of the Ryazan region.
University ITMO was represented by Igor Kudinov, the candidate of economic sciences, the director of the Center for Regional Cooperation of University ITMO, and Vladlena Serebrjakova, the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, the rector’s assistant of interaction with high-tech organizations.
On 10 of October the ITMO representatives together with Sergei Karabanov, the deputy minister of industry, innovation and information technologies of the Ryazan region held a meeting-seminar with representatives of relevant enterprises of the Ryazan region, the Ryazan State Radio Engineering University and other institutions of the Ryazan region. During the seminar, the parties agreed on the need for detailed introduction to key competencies of University ITMO in high technology, scientific research, commercialization of innovations, which can be reclaimed in order to improve the productivity and efficiency of the enterprises of the Ryazan region. Most of the participants also noted the acute shortage of skilled engineers and workers specialties.
At the end of the seminar, the ITMO representatives together with the representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Innovation and Information Technologies of the Ryazan region visited industrial enterprises of the Ryazan region, such as:
- the «Automotive Lighting»,
- the «Ryazan State Instrument-Making Plant»,
- the plant «Red Flag»,
- the «Kontakt-1».
The ITMO representatives with «Automotive Lighting», the one of the leading manufacturers of automobile headlights in Russia, agreed to work together in the following areas:
- the industrial design and prototyping of new product samples,
- the calculation of thermal and optical parameters of the headlights,
- the calculation and creation of new types of automotive lighting based on LED solutions,
- the search for new breakthroughs to reduce the cost of production and testing them on the court Automotive Lighting.
According to the results of meetings with the leadership of the «Ryazan State Instrument-Making Plant», the plant «Red Flag» and the «Kontakt-1», the parties agreed to exchange information on the most promising research and development on the basis of ITMO, as well as about the deepening of cooperation with ITMO business incubator in the development and commercialization of innovative products of Ryazan businesses and finding new markets.
Through the development of partnerships with the Ryazan State Radio Engineering University, Mikhail Pronin, the minister of industry of the Ryazan region, noted the need of benchmarketing in area of ITMO hatchery practices and attraction of University ITMO competencies in the commercialization of the results of intellectual activities of the resident business incubator RSTU.
