Congratulations to Vladimir Nickolaevich Vasiliev, the rector of the NRU ITMO, with a victory in the VII independent business award "The Chief of the Year - 2013" in the category of "The Honored Chief "!

On 14 of October 2013, at the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic named after D.D. Shostakovich the awarding ceremony for the winners of the VII independent business award "The Chief of the Year - 2013" was held. The ceremony was organized by the business magazine Chief Time, the Committee for the development of business and consumer market of St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Chamber of Commerce and the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of St. Petersburg.

The ceremony was attended by 900 guests. There were representatives of the business community and the city administration, journalists, artists, figures of art, culture and sports. Among the guests of honor were:  Maxim Meyksin, the chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovation in St. Petersburg and Elgiz Kachaev, the head of the committee for the development of business and consumer market of St. Petersburg.

Of the 27 nominees of the VII independent business award "Chef of the Year - 2013" the winners were 12 chiefs in seven categories: " The Chief-Breakthrough of the Year ", "The Chief of Innovation", "The Chief of Publicity", "The Chief of Concern", "The Chief-Maecenas", "The Young Chief", "The Honored Chief":

1.       The Honored Chief

Vladimir Vasiliev, the rector of the NRU ITMO.

2.       The Young Chief

Ilona Lunden (the founder of the Company "Lunden") was awarded for successful and effective management of the enterprise, despite the young age (27 years).

3.       The Chief of Publicity

Nikolai Burov (the director of the St. Petersburg State Memorial Museum St Isaac’s Cathedral) was awarded for active public statements aimed at promoting of responsible entrepreneurship in his sector and the business sector of the city in general.

4.       The Chief of Concern

Alexander  Gavrilchik (CEO of the Sasha's bar) was awarded for the responsible attitude to the training of personnel and the creation of a harmonious team of employees.

5.        The Chief-Maecenas

The first winner is Evgeni Klimov (the managing partner of the "Security organization "Holding AN-security””.  He was awarded for a number of projects, aimed on transferring substantial funds to charitable funds for the rehabilitation of children who have overcome cancer and also for his continued support to children's sports clubs.

The second winner is Vyacheslav Zarenkov, the chairman of the Council of Directors of Etalon Group (GK LenSpetsSMU). He was awarded for the constant support to orphanages, organizations and events that really need it.

6.       The  Chief of Innovation

The first winner is Michael Bourtsev, the CEO of the “First Most Popular Television "The Passenger TV"”. He was awarded for a unique media complex and technology of on-line television in the salons of public transport.

The second winner is Maximilian Brewers , the General Director of "Kidburg". He was awarded for the successful creation of an interactive game complex for children "City of professions".

The third winner is Petr Rodionov, the General Manager of the Group of Companies "GEROPHARM" for the development of Russia's first set of full-cycle production of genetically engineered human insulin.

7.       The Chief-Breakthrough of the Year

The first winner is Vitali Svidovskiy, the general director of "The Teremok - Russian Pancakes". He was awarded for a breakthrough in the field of national cuisine and for a significant increase of the restaurant chain.

The second winner is Igor Belousov, the owner of the Holding Company «Belousov Group». Ye was awarded for the deployment of a chain of stores selling organic food and its own production.

The third winner is Sergei Voronkov, the general director of the "ExpoForum International" for the successful implementation of the strategy of consolidation of exhibition and congress projects and the withdrawal of the company to the next level.

The Independent Business Award "The Chief of the Year" was established in 2007 to enhance the social responsibility of business and to encourage the business community to the creative enterprise. The Business Award "The Chief of the Year» is a non-profit project. Award winners are determined by the Council of Experts, formed on a voluntary basis.

In the Expert Council of Business Award there are independent experts, business leaders and chairmen of social media and business organizations, including Mikhail Lobin, the vice president of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of St. Petersburg, Leonid Garbar, the president of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of the North-West, Maxim Efimov, the CEO of the "Kommersant - St. Petersburg", Oleg Tretyakov, the general director of the magazine "Expert North-West",  Andrei Konstantinov, the CEO of the Agency for Investigative Journalism, Andrei  Shamrai, the chairman of the St. Petersburg branch of the Media Union of North-West, Sergey Pilatov, the president of the Public advertising Council of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, Victor Mashendzhinov, the vice president of the League of Journalists of St. Petersburg and others.
