Annenkirche never ceases to amaze the audience when it comes to Bible-themed exhibitions. This time it’s Ark – a one-of-a-kind display letting one witness and explore the story of Noah’s Ark with their very eyes through large-scale installations, immersive locations, and inspired artworks by contemporary artists.

The exhibition presents a series of artworks by Viktor Ivanov, a prominent Soviet artist and bright representative of the Soviet austere style. Among the main motifs of his art are peasants and events that have continued to shape national and spiritual traditions.

The exhibition features a collection of photographs by Yury Molodkovets, a photographer and employee at the Hermitage Museum. In honor of Nicholas Roerich’s 150th anniversary, KGallery is prepping a designated exhibition that will not only present the artist’s lesser-known and never-exhibited-before works from private collections – but also explore cultural influences that helped shape his signature style.
P.S. June 28 is also the day of Scarlet Sails, a traditional celebration of school graduates. On the night between Friday and Saturday, the city will be brimming with action, meaning that some streets will be closed and the metro will be working throughout the night. The event is for graduates only – but you can still enjoy the show from the sidelines.
