English Speaking Club at Community

The chattiest, the clubbiest – the English Speaking Club at Community is meeting this Saturday to talk all about superlatives and exaggeration – and why we love using them so badly (we, at ITMO NEWS, are guilty of that, too). If you want to practice your English in a good company, join the meeting at Community (don’t forget to sign up via this link). The recommended level of proficiency is B1 and higher. The meeting is held by a native English speaker from New Zealand.

John Cranko's Onegin

This Wednesday, you have the chance to familiarize yourself with one of the staples of Russian literature, Eugene Onegin, not through words (though we strongly recommend doing that, too)… but through dance. Inspired by Alexander Pushkin's verse novel of the same name and the opera by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the utterly popular ballet production by John Cranko tells the tragic story of one-sided love in the setting of 19th-century Russia.
