The Komarovo’s Dream exhibition features a series of images taken by Alexander Streltsov, aka Alakrez, who photographed the resort town of Komarovo across different seasons for six years, from 2015 to 2021. The results are not just landscapes – but surrealist photographs that bring together the ambience of sci-fi dreams and familiar locations.

The Russian Museum’s largest portrait exhibition celebrates historical portraiture with a grand-scale collection of around 300 artworks by world-famous Russian artists. From Karl Bryullov to Ivan Kramskoi among the authors, from officials to scientists and artists in the frame, the exhibition explores the evolution of the genre, which spans over hundreds of years, and presents people of remarkable character and achievement.

Architect Carlo Rossi is the unarguable artistic brain behind St. Petersburg. His works include the Alexandrinsky Theatre, the Mikhailovsky Palace, the General Staff Building, and many other 19th-century buildings that are now inseparable from today’s historic look of the city. At the exhibition, visitors can learn more about the master himself, his origins and artistic path, see an unparalleled 150-piece collection of the artist’s architectural and urban-planning projects, as well as decorative art items and sketches.
