ITMO Graduate’s Startup in Top 25 of Sber500 IT Accelerator
Predictive Sensorics is a startup that develops next gen sensors with embedded AI. Such sensors can monitor the condition of lubricants in expensive industrial machines and thus prevent potential malfunctions. Founded by ITMO alumnus Kirill Plugin, the company has recently landed in the top 25 of the IT accelerator Sber500. The best startups were recognized on October 1 during the Moscow Startup Summit.

ITMO Trains Most In-Demand Mathematicians
ITMO University has topped the recent ranking of universities training mathematics and natural science professionals by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. According to statistics by the Rabota Rossii (Work in Russia – Ed.) portal, ITMO Bachelor’s graduates most often get employment and have higher-paying jobs, as opposed to other novice specialists.

IT Graduates at ITMO Among Highest Paid in Russia
In the latest Superjob ranking, ITMO University was ranked first in St. Petersburg and second in Russia based on the net income of its IT graduates. In 2025, ITMO-trained IT specialists earn an average of 290,000 rubles a month – their salary grew by 12% compared to last year.

Winner of Leaders of Russia Competition Alexey Schekoldin on Lifelong Learning and Sharing Knowledge
Alexey Schekoldin illustrates the concept of lifelong learning by example: his Bachelor’s degree was in electrical engineering, his Master’s – in management, and his PhD – in technical systems management. ITMO Graduates Set to Receive First-Ever NFT Diplomas From VK
Along with their digital diplomas, ITMO University’s graduates of 2023 will also receive unique tokens for the social network VK. These NFTs will serve as further proof of their degrees and acquired competencies. In the future, graduates will also be able to upload these tokens into job-seeking services as part of their CV.

ITMO Alumni and Employee Among St. Petersburg’s Top Graduates of 2023
An annual awards ceremony to acknowledge the most distinguished graduates of St. Petersburg was held today, on June 28, at the Peter and Paul Fortress. Among this year’s best is Andrey Suvorov, a graduate of ITMO’s Faculty of Infocommunication Technologies, who was awarded a bronze sphinx statuette, which symbolizes wisdom, intelligence, and perseverance.
