• ITMO.OPEN: Educational Practices – Results of the Conference

  On May 24-25, ITMO University hosted a conference for lecturers and representatives of other universities during which the university’s staff shared their experience of building an innovative educational ecosystem and their colleagues – the best practices in that field. The participants discussed how to attract and hold students’ full attention, make work and studies truly convenient for everyone, employ gamification and personification in education, and work with rating agencies.

  ITMO.OPEN: Educational Practices is a two-day offline event for employees of Russian universities who are looking for tools, ideas, and inspiration for the transformation of education. The participants will discuss trends in education and learn more about ITMO University’s approaches to the design of educational programs and standards.

• University of the Future: Russian and British University Officials Discuss Trends in Education

  This Thursday, ITMO University hosted a meeting of university officials from the UK and St. Petersburg, a follow-up to the First Forum of Rectors of Russian and British Universities that was held in Moscow. The key event of the day was a round table discussion on universities of the future. The participants talked about the best educational practices and ways to attract talent while discussing possible collaboration in the field of student academic mobility.

• Academic Exchange, Environmental Studies and Education for All: Representatives of World’s Best Universities Meet For EAIE in Helsinki

  In late September, Helsinki hosted the annual EAIE conference, which was the biggest since its founding, attracting over 6,200 participants from 95 countries. ITMO University was among the world’s best educational organizations. We got in touch with the members of the St. Petersburg EAIE delegation and found out all about the current trends in education that were discussed in Finland.
