ITMO-Made ProAGI Multiagent System Accelerates Industrial Software Production by up to 10 Times
Researchers from ITMO’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence have unveiled ProAGI, a multiagent system that can take on the full cycle of industrial software development: from task analysis and architecture design to testing and polishing of the final product. ProAGI works like an orchestrated system based on several specialized agents: an architect, an analyst, a developer, a tester, and a tech consultant. With the solution, it’s possible to accelerate development and lower its costs by up to 10 times. ProAGI has already been tested on tasks in telecommunication, medicine, education, and oil industry; the agents can also be adapted to other fields.

ITMO Presents Russia’s First Intelligent Control System for Microimplants and Precision Components
ITMO University has unveiled the first Russian software-hardware complex for quality control of dental implants and other miniature metal parts. The solution, named Micrometron, can fully automate and accelerate product control at metal fabrication plants. Importantly, the system excludes human error in quality control and can be integrated into roboticized production lines.

ITMO University was named the best Russian university for future software developers as stated in Russoft's 2025 ranking. The ranking reflects the results of a survey asking 377 major software companies to evaluate the quality of education at over 100 educational institutions in Russia.

The Bachelor’s program Software Engineering by ITMO University has been granted the RuCode Award in the category IT Factory. The award recognizes educational institutions for establishing IT faculties and departments that apply cutting-edge methods to train AI specialists. ITMO and Sberbank Make Secure Data Transfers Possible
ITMO Universities and Sberbank created Stalactite, one of Russia’s first ML-based frameworks for improving recommendation systems at different enterprises. Stalactite enables specialists to train AI models and make predictions using third-party data without the danger of merging or leaking. The software was revealed at the ACM Conference on Recommender Systems.

Agreement Signed: ITMO Partners with the Association of Major Software and Equipment Consumers
The partners are determined to build an efficient system for training IT specialists that can be scaled up to other universities. As stated in the agreement, ITMO students will now on be able to participate in projects developed by members of the Association of Major Software and Equipment Consumers (AMSEC). In their turn, representatives of member companies will join the university’s team as lecturers, heads of practical training, and industry experts.

This was revealed in the results of the ranking compiled by Russoft, an association of Russian software developers, based on a survey among IT companies who consider universities as suppliers of trained professionals. A total of 147 universities were included in the ranking.
