• ITMO Ranks Second in Potanin Foundation's Ranking of Russian Universities

  Since last year, ITMO has climbed the ranking of Russian universities compiled by the Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program: the university now resides in second place. Also in the top three (out of 75 participating universities) are Higher School of Economics and St. Petersburg State University.

• More Than a Stipend: Why To Participate and How To Prepare for Vladimir Potanin Foundation Scholarship Competition

  Applications to the Vladimir Potanin Foundation scholarship competition are accepted until November 20. Winners will receive 25,000 rubles monthly until the end of their studies.   ITMO University became one of the top three leading universities according to the results of the annual Potanin Foundation Scholarship Contest. The competition brought together a total of 75 Russian universities.

• ITMO in Top-Three of Potanin Foundation Scholarship Contest

  Almost 60 ITMO University students have received this year’s Potanin Foundation Scholarship. Thus, the university came third behind St. Petersburg State University and Lomonosov Moscow State University. The students will receive a monthly stipend of 25,000 rubles until the end of their Master’s studies. We talked to the winners about their achievements in research and beyond, discussed the qualities that helped them seize victory, and asked them for advice to anyone wishing to take part in the contest next year.

• ITMO University Holds Course on Science Communication for Scholars and Grantees of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation

  The program aims to familiarize university staff with the recent practices in science communication and help them develop a communication strategy to promote their own projects. A total of 50 people from nearly 40 regions of Russia have recently become the first participants of the course. The program will run until the end of 2021.

• Two ITMO University Lecturers Receive Potanin Foundation Grant

  The Vladimir Potanin Foundation grant contest for university lecturers has concluded its 2020 run. A total of 747 representatives of 75 leading Russian universities took part in the selection. The grant was awarded to 100 successful candidates, two of whom are from ITMO University. • Over Twenty ITMO University Students Win Potanin Scholarship Contest

  The Vladimir Potanin Foundation Scholarship Program is aimed at helping talented Master’s students of Russian universities. The selection of the grantees took place in two rounds: an offsite and an onsite one. First, the candidates submitted their resumes and a detailed description of their accomplishments, and in the second round, they participated in business games based on the results of which the judges issued a final ranking. In 2020, 500 out of 3,000 candidates were chosen to become the scholarship’s recipients throughout their Master’s; 27 of them are ITMO University students. ITMO.NEWS spoke to several of them to find out what helped them win and what advice they would give to future Master’s students gearing up to participate in the competition.
