• ITMO Receives 250 Million Rubles to Develop Innovative Audio Systems

  An acoustic laboratory at ITMO’s Faculty of Physics was named among the winners of the megagrant competition by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF), receiving  250 million rubles for fundamental and applied research in acoustics. The laboratory will produce acoustic metastructures for noise reduction, smart accident detection systems for productions, and wearable medical sensors for real-time monitoring of heart and lung sounds.

• ITMO and Russian Science Foundation Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary of Collaboration

  ITMO University hosted a series of lectures dedicated to the anniversary of the Russian Science Foundation (RSF). The national campaign 10 Years with RSF encompasses 120 research and educational organizations in 45 Russian cities, including ITMO University, where the university’s experts spoke about their projects in chemistry, physics, computer science, and food technology supported by the foundation.

• ITMO Rector Vladimir Vasilyev Appointed to Russian Science Foundation’s Supervisory Council

  On December 13, 2018, the Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree confirming the new line-up of the Russian Science Foundation’s Supervisory Council. Among the Council’s 15 members is Vladimir Vasilyev, the Rector of ITMO University.
