ITMO Graduate Releases AR App For Speech Therapists
Recent years have seen an increase in the number of speech disorder diagnoses, including minor ones that can be alleviated with timely speech therapy. Anastasia Pivovarova, an ITMO alumna, has developed an interactive AR app to assist speech therapists in their classes with pre-school children. The app is currently undergoing testing at an educational center in St. Petersburg.

Human Versus Computer: ITMO Students Excel at Major Scientific Conference in Computational Linguistics
In recent years, the variety of automated text generation software has drastically increased. These programs can craft short sentences and even whole paragraphs that are nearly as natural-sounding as if they were written by humans. Can we now say for sure where a text originates from and, most importantly, what tools were used to generate it? These are the questions that students from ITMO’s Information Technologies and Programming Faculty tried to answer at Dialogue, the largest Russian scientific conference in computational linguistics.
