  ITMO University was ranked first in St. Petersburg and fourth nationwide in the latest ranking of the best Russian universities by Forbes Russia. The longlist included several hundreds of universities; only 100 of them made it to the final ranking.

• 97 ITMO Students Win Potanin Foundation Scholarships

  ITMO has come second in a ranking of universities participating in the scholarship competition by the Potanin Foundation. 97 ITMO students won the scholarship this year. Also in the top three by the number of winners are HSE University and Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), while the full list includes 71 universities in total.

  In the latest ranking of universities by the Russian non-profit organization Digital Economy, ITMO University took fourth place among universities from St. Petersburg and Moscow. A total of 30 universities from all over the country were included in the ranking.

  In the latest ranking of the best Russian universities by Forbes Russia, ITMO now ranks second in St. Petersburg and seventh nationwide. The longlist included 564 universities, with only 100 making it into the final ranking.

• Nature Index: ITMO Ranks Second Among Russian Universities

  In the recent edition of Nature Index, ITMO took first place among St. Petersburg’s universities and the second nationwide. Nature Index is a ranking that reflects the number of publications by an institution’s scientists in leading scientific journals, as well as the university’s global scientific contributions. A total of 88 Russian universities and research organizations were evaluated in the ranking.

  Among the total of 75 universities participating in the Vladimir Potanin Foundation’s scholarship contest, ITMO made it to the top three for the third year in a row.

• Expert Center Ranking: ITMO Named Best Russian University in AI and Engineering

  ITMO is in the top five of the latest ranking of Russian universities compiled by the Expert analytics center. For the third year in a row, ITMO crowns the ranking in Engineering Sciences and Materials Science. The university also came first in Artificial Intelligence.

  Tinkoff Magazine, one of Russia’s largest media outlets on lifestyle and finance, has released its ranking of the best universities in the country for 2023. The list is split into nine categories, with ITMO in the lead among technical universities.

• ITMO Named Best Russian University in Training IT Professionals

  This was revealed in the results of the ranking compiled by Russoft, an association of Russian software developers, based on a survey among IT companies who consider universities as suppliers of trained professionals. A total of 147 universities were included in the ranking.

• Three University Missions Ranking: ITMO Ahead of 1,500 Universities Globally

  This year’s edition of the annual Three University Missions Moscow International University Ranking (MosIUR), which evaluated over 2000 universities around the world, has been revealed. This time, ITMO has also climbed 18 positions in the global ranking, placing 252nd despite the growing competition. For four years in a row, ITMO University has consistently been placed in the top 10 among Russian universities in the ranking.
