ITMO University Retains Its Position Among Top Ten Russian Universities in the Three University Missions Ranking
On August 27, the new Three University Missions Moscow International University Ranking (MosIUR) was released. Despite the increased competition, ITMO University improved its results by taking 219th place worldwide and seventh place in Russia.
The St. Petersburg university has significantly increased its positions within the parameters Quality of Graduates and Forbes Factor, which reflects an educational institution’s prestigiousness.
According to a research by the SuperJob center, ITMO graduates get paid an average of 160,000 rubles a month as early on as in the first five years after graduation.
The ranking agency RAEX has published its ninth annual ranking of Russia’s best universities. Timed to coincide with the start of university admissions, it aims to help prospective students decide on their future place of study.
Two weeks ago, the RUR Rankings Agency published its World University Rankings, in which ITMO University took 360th place, landing in the Bronze League. Today, on May 13, results have been announced of RUR’s country-specific edition, with the Russian ranking listing 82 universities divided in four leagues based on the amount of points they scored. As last year, ITMO University has made it to the top of the list – the Diamond League.
The RAEX rating agency has published its latest annual subject rankings of scientific productivity and invention (patent) activity among Russian universities. ITMO University is included in the top 10 of both rankings. The University also came first out of all Russian universities in the subject ranking for computer science and in a narrower field of hardware architecture.
The RAEX agency has, for the first time, ranked Russian universities based on their influence. The list features the higher education institutions that hold the most weight in forming the country’s elite, as well as among the scientific community, youth, and internet audiences. The defining feature of this research is that as per the agency’s working approach, it is based on objective statistics from Russian and international resources.
