Port Art Fair

From May 15 to 18, artists and galleries from across the country will come together for Port Art Fair – an annual fair of contemporary art at Sevkabel Port. This year’s display will be all about arts & crafts. The event’s program promises mediations, as well as a fun and insights-packed lineup of expert-led lectures and discussions.

The exhibition invites you to explore the role our four-legged friends played in the life and art of Russia. Through a hand-picked selection of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and even numismatic art, the display brings into focus the portrayal of dogs in art – across different genres (from landscapes and portraits to avant-garde endeavors) and plots (from historical to adventure).

The Hermitage Museum is putting on an exhibition dedicated to the High Renaissance Italian sculptor Michelangelo and his contemporaries to commemorate the 550th anniversary of the master’s birth. The centerpiece of the display is the sculpture Crouching Boy – the only work of Michelangelo's in Russia – accompanied by 13 more sculptures and 11 paintings produced by artists in one way or another associated with the eminent sculptor.
