Classics on Palace Square

It happens once a year – and it’s this Friday! One of the most spectacular classical concerts, Classics on Palace Square brings together 100+ star opera singers, orchestra players, and other musicians – as well as thousands of listeners from all over the city and beyond. Also on the program are open-air performances of ballet and different dance styles.

Art Talks: Wonderland

Explore the magical world of dreams in literature – with philology expert Daria Larina and literature teacher Tom Bettel. The coming talk at the center will delve into why fantasy worlds go hand-in-hand with dreams, with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll as a prime illustration. 

The meeting is held in English; the recommended level of proficiency is A2+ and higher.

The city’s sports club Zenit is celebrating its 100th anniversary. On this occasion, Sevkabel Port is opening a grand-scale exhibition of all things Zenit. 12 themed halls, 2,000 exhibits, as well as multimedia and interactive installations – the display will take you on a visual journey of the last 100 years of the club’s history, its milestones and famed players, while also exploring its inseparable connection to the City on the Neva.

On Monday, music lovers will have a special chance to expand their horizons – by listening to and learning more about contemporary music. On stage will be a leading Russian ensemble of contemporary music that will start off with the 20th-21st chamber music and continue all the way to modern-day compositions.

A tour of the Japanese Garden at the Botanical Garden

The Japanese Garden at the Botanical Garden once again welcomes nature lovers to enjoy its Japanese-style bridge-pond-and-summer-house complex, as well as various plants and flowers. Tours are held 3-4 times daily. Tickets can only be purchased online.
