Maxilab
Malaya Sadovaya St. 3
Maxilab is one of the most popular photo labs in the city and is conveniently located right in the center of St. Petersburg: oftentimes, the queue actually starts outside the shop. They offer a wide range of services from film development and scanning to printing and framing. You can also purchase both new and used film cameras, equipment, and, of course, film.
Momentography
Momentography is a treasure chest for all lomography and Polaroid lovers. A wide selection of easy-to-use and instant cameras along with film can be found in their online store. Until recently, there’ve also had an offline shop at Berthold Center. Unfortunately, it has closed, but let’s hope for a comeback.
Avito
Surely, not a film-focused platform, but you wouldn’t believe the amount of vintage cameras sold there for dirt cheap. It’s a less reliable option than official stores, as the camera might have some defects that neither you nor the seller have noticed, but if you do your research (or simply are lucky), you might well find great equipment for your analog photography journey.
Foqus Store
S. Tyulenin Ln. 4/23
At Foqus Store, you can not only develop your film and stock up on film and cameras, but also learn how to develop film yourself (this option doesn’t seem to be available at the moment, but you can follow their social media for updates) or buy the equipment required for that.
Yarkiy
A large network of photography shops located in most of the city’s districts. It’s not limited to film photography, but still develops pictures and sells related products.
As for inspiration, we suggest browsing popular film photo communities such as this one.
