Kite-flying festival

This weekend, the 300th Anniversary Park will become the scene of a traditional kite festival that will fill the sky with a kaleidoscope of kites of all sizes and colors. Pros or beginners, the summer extravaganza will bring everyone together for a fun day full of activities, live music, crafts, and, of course, kite-flying!

Contemporary art lovers won’t want to miss a freshly-opened exhibition of works by Jonathan Monaghan, a big name in today’s American art scene. His endeavor Out of the Abyss offers the author’s take on a hi-tech future. Provocative, candy-colored, and otherworldly, his artwork combines visions of the modern consumerist culture with well-known apocalyptic narratives to spark a conversation on where society is heading.
