The State Russian Museum is presenting a contemporary art collection courtesy of Vladimir Nekrasov. Over several decades, the Russian art collector and philanthropist has assembled an outstanding collection of artworks that highlight the multifaceted nature of Russian art created in the 20th and early 21st centuries. The exhibition consists of over 60 works of art by prominent and lesser-known painters, including contemporary artists.

From May 30 to June 2, St. Petersburg will be hosting the Icebreaker Festival, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. At the heart of the event is the traditional procession of tugboats, which will put on a fantastic show as they "waltz" along the Neva River, surrounded by operational icebreaker ships, as well as the one-and-only Krasin icebreaker-museum, to the pleasure of kids and adults alike.

Romantic white nights, historical landmarks, and the soul of St. Petersburg – all these and more are portrayed in the artworks by Leonid Bogdanov, who made his name in local photography in the 1960s-70s. The exposition spans 30 years of the artist's career and includes over 150 works of art created between the 1960s and 1990s.

A new season is on for St. Petersburg Art Fair 1703 – a grand exhibition at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall brings together a wide spectrum of artworks, both classical and digital, by contemporary artists. This year’s collection includes 45 exhibits from galleries in Russia, Turkey, and the UAE that are spread across four main sections: Basis, Algorithm, Project, and Material (plus Collections – for pieces from private and corporate collections).
