In 2024, a total of 32,000 students participated in the contest’s final, 425 of whom are ITMO students. 25% of them became diplomants in the contest, marking a nearly 20% increase compared to last year. Out of 109 ITMO diplomants, 7 received gold medals, 5 – silver, and 10 – bronze; 34 students secured their status as winners and 53 as runners-up. 


In total, the contest covered 73 fields, including robotics, photonics, strategic project management, and languages. The most popular among ITMO students were Programming and IT; Software Engineering; Business Informatics; Information and Cyber Security; and Robotics. Moreover, the ITMO-run Programming and IT was among the contest’s most popular overall.


All winners and runners-up have now gained access to new career opportunities, including the contest’s portal with job postings and internships from such leading companies as Sberbank, Yandex, Rosatom, Russian Railways, AI Alliance, and others. The top-scoring participants can also expect easier enrollment to the next level of education at the country’s top universities, while medalists receive up to 300,000 rubles prizes.
