Armani and the Birth of Italian Fashion (2026)

A must-watch for all fashion lovers is hitting the theaters this week. The new docufilm explores the life and legacy of the legendary Italian designer Giorgio Armani, from his humble beginnings as a window dresser to becoming the godfather of Italian fashion. The film features the first – and final – on-screen interview with the fashion legend.

The movie will be screened in the English language with Russian subtitles.

The exhibition season is upon us! KGallery presents works by Valentin Serov and Konstantin Korovin, two leading Russian artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries – who also happened to be friends. The exhibition will tell the story of the creative duo through their art: portraits of contemporaries, theater graphics, landscapes, sketches, and travel drawings, as well as pieces created by artists who influenced them creatively – Ilya Repin, Mikhail Vrubel, and others.

Travel 130 years back in time at the new exhibition at ROSPHOTO. The display tells the story of the 1896 National Industrial and Art Exhibition – the largest exhibition in the Russian Empire and one that brought to light a range of national inventions: from an early radio receiver to the first Russian car and the world’s first steel tower-shell.

Exhibition of works by academy graduates

Following tradition, the St. Petersburg Repin Academy of Fine Arts presents the artworks of its newest graduates to the public. On display are over 50 pieces created by students of different faculties: these include reflections on historical memory and events (painting), illustrations for classic and contemporary books (graphics), and designs of public buildings (architecture).
