• ITMO Highpark Techno Valley Receives 5 Billion-Ruble Investment

  Irina Potekhina, the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg, has recently visited the construction site of the education and innovation center ITMO HIghpark. The tour of the campus involved an assessment of undergoing construction and the key investment projects, including an agreement with the company FAKT.PROM on the construction of high-tech production and research facilities. The extensive industrial complex is set to receive 5 billion rubles in investments.

• ITMO and Geoscan To Open Joint Student Construction Bureau for Designing Unmanned Aircraft Systems

  ITMO University and Geoscan, the largest drone manufacturer in Russia, are launching a practice-oriented student construction bureau where students will get to work on industrial tasks from the company’s specialists and learn to design and test unmanned aircraft systems. The center will be opened at ITMO in September.

• ITMO Highpark’s Research Centers Receive Positive Assessment

  Glavgosexpertiza of Russia (a state expertise center subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Construction – Ed.) has approved the design estimates for ITMO Highpark’s second stage of construction that will include three advanced research centers with a total area of 30,000 square meters. These are: the IT Center, the Photonics and Quantum Technologies Center, and the Life and Health Sciences Center.

• St. Petersburg Government Approves Design of Sports Complex at ITMO Highpark

  Recently, the Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of St. Petersburg approved the architectural design of a future sports facility at ITMO Highpark, the university’s new campus located in the Yuzhny satellite city. • ITMO to Train Lecturers for St. Petersburg’s First IT School

  The new partnership was announced at a press conference on the construction of the first state-owned IT school in the city, held by the Government of St. Petersburg, ITMO University, and Arsenal Group. ITMO University has developed a concept and training program for teachers at the school with a view to continue implementing professional training programs for educators. Through these initiatives, the university will provide comprehensive training for young staff of new schools.

• First Stone Laid at ITMO Highpark Construction Site

  On August 30, Valery Falkov, the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Alexander Beglov, the Governor of St. Petersburg, and Vladimir Vasilyev, the Rector of ITMO University, laid the first stone to mark the start of the construction of ITMO Highpark. During the ceremony, a robot manipulator placed an AI-generated message from students, researchers, and lecturers into the grounds of the future world-class research, education, and innovation center.

• Four-Lane Highway To Connect ITMO Highpark With St. Petersburg

  Equipped with sidewalks, bike lanes, and bus stops, the road (ca. 1.5 kilometers in length) will run along the railway line from an interchange of Kiyevskoye Shosse (near the railway station Kondakopshino) to the administrative borders of St. Petersburg.
