“Following a presidential order, we are building a research, education, and innovation center with a world-class campus. St. Petersburg’s first techno valley will become an important platform for establishing the country’s technological leadership. ITMO Highpark will give a powerful boost to the development of the Yuzhny satellite city and the south of St. Petersburg. Communications are being built at a high pace: the city is fully performing its responsibilities in laying the engineering and transport infrastructure,” says Alexander Beglov, the Governor of St. Petersburg.

At present, construction of the first stage of buildings of ITMO Highpark is underway, with the total real estate area amounting to 73.3 thousand square meters. In dorm No. 2, the atrium space reinforcement is fully complete, monolithic works are 92% complete, internal utility networks are being installed, facade glazing has begun, and plastering and the installation of interior partition walls are underway. Special attention is being paid to sound insulation, which will ensure a comfortable environment for the work of Master’s and PhD students. Construction of the heat supply facility is also actively progressing: the building has been erected, and three heating boilers have been installed.

This August, the construction will begin of water supply, wastewater drainage, electricity, and gas supply networks of the second stage. These communications will supply three research centers, a sports complex, and two dorms, all of which have already been designed. The total real estate area of the second stage will be 160 thousand square meters. Apart from that, the new ITMO campus will have social infrastructure that will be available not only to students and staff but to all citizens of St. Petersburg. This will include recreation areas, a science museum, and a multifunctional sports complex with an ice arena for 500 viewers.

With ITMO Highpark construction underway, developers are increasingly interested in the surrounding areas. There is an active construction of residential quarters along Kiyevskoye Shosse and a growing demand for apartments in the area. 

The total area of ITMO Highpark is 86 ha. The new complex will include a main campus, dormitories, research complexes, as well as business, recreation, and sports infrastructure with a total area of 183 thousand square meters. Around 140 thousand square meters will be taken up by innovation infrastructure for the techno valley’s residents.
