    Mikhail Medvedev, a researcher at ITMO’s Laboratory for Intelligent Technologies in Infochemistry, became a laureate of the 2025 Sberbank Scientific Award in the newly-introduced category “AI in Science. Physical World” for developing digital chemistry methods for predicting substance properties using AI and molecular modeling.

  • AGI in Science and Education Discussed at the 5th Congress of Young Scientists

    The transformation of AI began in science and education, where it turned from a helpful tool into a full-fledged co-author with its own hypotheses and ideas for experiments.   • ITMO Scientist Elected 2026 Optica Fellow

    Andrey Bogdanov, a researcher at ITMO’s International Research and Educational Center for Nanophotonics and Metamaterials and the Harbin Engineering University (China), has joined the 2026 cohort of Fellows selected by Optica – the world’s leading scientific society in optics and photonics. As an Optica Fellow, the researcher will now be eligible to influence the photonics agenda, participate in the community’s strategic initiatives, and attract new partners, PhD students, and researchers to ITMO University.

  • ITMO Scientist Among Most Cited Researchers Worldwide

    Anton Korobeynikov, a researcher at ITMO’s Institute of Applied Computer Science, has been named among the 2025 Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate – an analytics company that owns Web of Science, an international scientometric platform and search engine. Only five Russian scholars made it on the list, including notable chemist Artem Oganov.
