ITMO Scientists Develop Code-Free Platform for Genetic Studies
Master’s students at ITMO have designed GenomeAI – a cloud-based platform for conducting genetic studies that requires no programming skills. The tool is simple to use and allows users to run the entire cycle of genetic analysis within a single interface. To secure data, the platform employs a multi-level security system similar to that used in the banking sector. It is designed for small laboratories, biotech companies, and research centers. The team is ready for a test run and looking for industrial partners.

ITMO Developers Release AI Recruitment Assistant for Civil Servants
Developers from ITMO’s Laboratory of Intelligent Services and Applications (LISA), in collaboration with specialists of St. Petersburg’s Committee for Informatization and Communications, created an AI service that analyzes applications for civil service jobs. The algorithm accelerates candidate selection and is already being field-tested at St. Petersburg’s administration.

First in Russia AI School Paper Checker Developed at ITMO
ITMO researchers have designed a neural network for processing the results of the national tests performed by school students. The algorithm will reduce the processing time by 20 times and free teachers from routine tasks. The service is currently being tested at three schools in St. Petersburg – and will potentially be implemented all across Russia. This is the first AI-powered technology of this scale in Russia.

ITMO Students Develop First Russian Free AI Service for People With Diabetes
A new specialized AI chatbot has recently been launched by ITMO students and the Diabetes Foundation; it can answer any question on diabetes, as well as let users help each other out – for instance, if they run out of insulin.. Each answer is provided based on verified information from clinicians and experts. Thanks to the fact that it requires smaller server capacities, the new service is completely free.

ITMO Researchers Develop First-Ever Online Platform For Nanozyme Modeling
Nanozymes are artificial enzymes made up of various nanoparticles. In contrast to natural enzymes, nanozymes demonstrate all the same properties while being easier to produce and work with. However, the hardest step in developing nanozyme-based drugs and diagnostic systems is modeling the necessary properties of their particles before synthesis. Researchers from ITMO’s SCAMT Institute have solved this task by developing DiZyme, the first platform in the world that predicts the catalytic activity of nanozymes.
