• ITMO University and Government of Moscow’s Department for Education and Science to Launch IT Classes in City’s Schools

  Isaac Kalina, a minister in the Government of Moscow and head of the latter’s Department for Education and Science, and ITMO University rector Vladimir Vasilyev have signed a road map on the implementation of the project “IT classes in Moscow schools”. Earlier, the initiative was put forward by the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin. The classes, which aim to introduce school students to modern information technologies, are to be launched starting from September 1, 2019.

• ITMO Open Science at Erarta: From MegaBattle to Open Talk

  On February 8, ITMO University hosted the ITMO Open Science Conference. Dozens of ITMO University’s researchers, PhD students and heads of the University’s departments gathered at the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art to discuss the latest achievements in an unusual format and learn about their colleagues’ science development strategies. • Portfolio Contest Open for New Master's Programs in Photonics at ITMO

  ITMO University is launching the portfolio contest “Science Needs You!” for applicants to three new Master’s Programs in Photonics: “Functional Materials of Optoelectronics”, “LED Technologies” and “Optoelectronics”. Successful candidates will be admitted to the university without entrance examinations. The deadline for applications is May 31.
