One of the most iconic symbols of this time is the fir tree (ёлка). Having a fir tree at home has been a tradition for many generations. Yet, in modern times, it feels easier to purchase a harvested or artificial tree from the store. Despite the convenience, we end up missing out on a whole collection of emotions and experiences, especially the fresh smell of fir and birch trees, the damp and snowy forest, and the delicate touch of nature in winter.
