  • ITMO Launches New Open Call for Projects within 2030 Development Strategy

    On September 16, ITMO launched another open call for projects within its 2030 Development Strategy, welcoming submissions from students and staff, as well as representatives of other universities and organizations in Russia and abroad. Winners of the open call will receive funding up to 20 million rubles depending on their project’s track, as well as access to the expertise, staff, and infrastructure of the university and its partners.

  • KronBars Student Sports Club Wins 10 Million Rubles to Promote Sports in St. Petersburg

    ITMO’s KronBars student sports club has secured the second place in the Ministry of Sport-run national competition for best organization of sports activities on the university level. The club plans to use its 10-million-ruble grant to implement the University of Sport project: to organize events and competitions, start a running community, and update the pool of sports equipment at ITMO.

  • Russian Science Foundation to Support R&D in Five New Fields In 2023

    The Russian Science Foundation (RSF) is set to receive additional powers to financially support those experimental research & development projects that are of interest to the industry and can potentially be introduced into the current production processes. This was stated by Alexander Khlunov, the CEO of RSF, in his address at the second Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi on December 1st. The funding will be provided for five priority fields of research. See below for more details.

  • Three ITMO Students and a Graduate Win UMNIK Grant Competition – Here Are Their Projects and Plans

    The winners’ projects include a prosthetic elbow joint, 3D-printed dental implants, a medical diagnostics system, as well as a program that finds errors in code. The results of the competition were announced on October 23.
