  • ITMO Hosts First-Ever METANANO Summer School in China

    The METANANO Summer School on Nanophotonics and Advanced Materials recently wrapped up in Qingdao, China. A hundred researchers from Russia, China, Israel, Australia, Switzerland, and other countries spent three days discussing laser technologies for perovskite nanocoatings, multifunctional materials for thermal regulation, and other topics.   • Studying Attosecond Physics in Italy: ITMO Master’s Student Shares His Experience

    ITMO University recently hosted the first Research Summer Camp in Biotechnology, organized by the international research center "Biotechnologies of the Third Millenium." Participants from nine countries including China, India, Egypt, and Turkey gathered to learn about cutting-edge methods and research trends in food biotechnologies.

  • ITMO’s Russian Language and Culture Summer School: An Online Experience

    For the sixth year in a row, ITMO is bringing Russian language and culture to the world. Although the school was conducted online for the third time, this format helped to expand the school’s reach. This year we had students from 10 different countries join the school to improve their language skills and also get a deep dive into Russian culture, cinema, history and politics.

  • Experiments with Bioplastic and DNA Visualization: Bioart Summer School at ITMO University

    Over the course of a week, participants from Russia, the USA, China, India, Kazakhstan and the Philippines studied new materials of biological origin and how they can be applied in contemporary art and design. An online exhibition of the participants’ artworks was opened following the school’s results.
