• Modular Study System: Effective and Student-Friendly

  When I told my friends back in my home country that I am studying one subject at a time at ITMO, they were totally surprised. This was a completely new concept for them. It was a very new experience for me as well because since my childhood I had been into a study system where I had to study multiple subjects simultaneously throughout the year and then pass all the exams during one week. But ITMO University introduced me to a new concept of education termed the "Modular study system" which aims at providing the students with a unique experience of an easy yet effective system of study. In this blog, I am going to pen down my opinion on this system and list its key benefits.

• Coworking Spaces — What are They?

  All ITMO students come from different countries and cities. We all travel from campus to campus, from dormitories to lessons, from meetings to lectures. For example, I am a participant of many activities at the university. They all are located in different places and sometimes even in opposite parts of St. Petersburg.   It is always challenging to find yourself and stand up for your ambitions. The last year of school is an enormously significant period when choices surround you all the time. Moreover, when it comes to picking a university, you have no other way but to rely on someone’s words because of your own lack of experience. There are many articles which can clearly illustrate students' lives and their opinions, but sometimes it is better to compare two subjects in order to get the desired result. • From University of Campinas in Brazil to ITMO University in Russia

  I am an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Campinas in Brazil, and recently I came to Russia to study at ITMO University, in St. Petersburg. Concerning my studies and professional interests, I came to increase my knowledge and skills in technology and computing subjects, to which I don't have easy access where I live. Apart from that, I have had some particular affection to Russian culture and history. Due to that, I am now having a gratifying and intense experience.
