  • ITMO Ranked Among Top 100 Best IT Universities in THE Computer Science Ranking

    The Times Higher Education (THE) magazine has published its 2019 subject rankings of the world’s best Computer Science and Engineering and Technology universities. For the fourth year in a row, ITMO comes first out of all Russian universities in the Computer Science ranking, keeping its position in the top-100 best universities in the world. The university has also gone up in the Engineering and Technology ranking, where it appears for the third time in a row. In this subject ranking, ITMO University holds the 201-250 place and comes second after Lomonosov Moscow State University out of all Russian universities. 


  • All-Russian NTI Engineering Competition: Young Engineers’ Budding Talent

    Participants of the All-Russian NTI Engineering Contest were given a chance to take on the role of space engineers, design houses of the future and solve problems at the intersection of biology and nanotechnology and much more. The competition’s assignments were grouped into 17 different profiles. ITMO developed one of them: the "Nanosystems and nanoengineering" track. It was a joint project together with Moscow colleagues. Two main features of the competition are its project orientation and teamwork. Schoolkids from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan competed against each other in two rounds. Contestants who showed the best results are going to the Sirius Educational Center in Sochi for finals, where they will have to solve problems that were designed in accordance with the requirements of modern high-tech industries.   • ITMO University Enters THE Engineering and Technology Ranking

    Times Higher Education released its rankings for Computer Science and Engineering and Technology subjects. ITMO University kept its place in the top 100 of world’s best universities, taking 76th place in Computer Science, and also entered Engineering and Technology ranking for the first time in the 301-400 group. This year, top 100 subject rankings were extended to include 300 universities for Computer Science and 500 for Engineering and Technology.
