• ITMO Art & Science Center Wins “Top 50 Famous People in St. Petersburg” Award from Sobaka.ru Magazine

  On June 8, the St. Petersburg-based magazine unveiled its annual list of the top 50 most famous people in the city. The team of ITMO’s Art & Science Center received the award in the category Cultural Institution.

• ITMO Art & Science Center Wins “St. Petersburg of the Future” Award From Sobaka.ru Magazine

  The center’s projects took first place in the category Media Case of the Year. The jury took note of the winners’ newsworthy projects and exhibitions, as well as their contribution to the popularization of science art. The awards were presented on February 16 during an official ceremony in the historical Hotel Astoria.

• Two ITMO University Graduates Among Top 50 Famous People in St. Petersburg According to Sobaka.ru Magazine

  Sobaka.ru, a magazine about urban life, has announced the results of its annual Top 50 Famous People in St. Petersburg. The list of this year’s laureates includes two ITMO University graduates, Ilya Chekh (nominated in the Science and Life category) and Daniel Galper (nominated in Business). In place since 2006, this is the first time that the award will celebrate its recipients online.

Gennady Korotkevich, a PhD student at ITMO University and the recent entrant of Sobaka.ru Magazine’s Top-50 People of St. Petersburg list, answered these and other questions in an interview with Prof. Anatoly Shalyto, himself a member of Sobaka.ru’s 2017 edition of the Top-50, and Lidia Perovskaya, ITMO graduate and producer of ICPC World Finals live broadcasts.

• ITMO University in the Headlines: Top50

  On June 5, the St. Petersburg Theatre of Musical Comedy was the setting of a special award ceremony was held for "TOP 50. Most Influential People in St. Petersburg". Sobaka magazine is for the 12th time picking out those personalities in the city who have made a significant contribution to the cultural, social, sport and scientific life of the city over the past year. 2017 marks the first time that the list of nominees features ITMO University, which organizers have named the number one newsmaker in the field of education in this last year. And for all those who have been voting since April: ITMO University’s team became the winner in the category "Science and Life"!
