  • 15 Talented Prospective Students Become Winners of 2019 ITMO.STARS Unique Achievements Contest

    The results of this year’s ITMO.STARS – a competition for prospective students with unique accomplishments – are in, with 15 participants being awarded free tuition at ITMO University’s program of their choice and the number of application doubling from last year’s. Launched in 2018, the initiative aims to offer talented and motivated high schoolers an opportunity to enroll at ITMO even if their Unified State Exam scores wouldn’t normally allow them to. 


  • Science Museums and Talent Development: Third Forum of Science Communicators at ITMO

    Last week, ITMO University hosted the third Forum of Science Communicators. Organized by the Association for Communication in Education and Science (AKSON) in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the event brought together science journalists, science communicators, media relations officers, and researchers. How to attract young people to science and research? How to promote communication in business? How to engage in a dialog with the audience? These and other questions were discussed at the Forum.     ITMO University has hosted the 8th Congress of Young Scientists. The aim of this event is to promote science, and especially the University’s areas of focus, among the youth. Among the participants of the Congress are not only students of Russian universities, but also school students from all around the country. Some of them shared insights into their projects with ITMO.NEWS and explained the challenges posed by their work.
