• 100+ Participants of Winter Engineering School Get to Enroll in ITMO Master’s Programs Exam-Free

  The Winter Engineering School has concluded at ITMO. Its students learned about the latest engineering innovations and expanded their knowledge of optics, light-guided photonics, fiber-optic sensorics, programmable electronics, patent law, and the oil-and-gas industry – but most importantly, they competed for the opportunity to enroll in Master’s programs at ITMO without taking entrance exams.

• ITMO Prepares St. Petersburg School Students for Physics and Computer Science Contests

  ITMO and Talent Academy, a St. Petersburg-based educational institute, have recently organized an intensive course to assist the city's school students as they prepare for competitions in physics and computer science. Among the course’s experts were ITMO lecturers and winners of previous years, while the program included a detailed breakdown of the tasks, as well as popular science talks and workshops. Participation was free for all; students had to pass an in-person test to secure their place in one of the course’s two tracks.

• 12th SCAMT Workshop Week: How to Enter Master’s Programs Without Exams and Kickstart Your Academic Career at ITMO

  SCAMT Workshop Week is a research school for students of different fields, who all get the chance to enroll in ITMO Master’s programs without exams and build their research portfolio. In 2023, 17 students entered the university’s programs thanks to the school, and over the years around 100 people from all over Russia made avail of this opportunity. In this article, we share more about the school’s topics, its new and upcoming features, and the projects developed by its participants.

• Idea to Startup: Students & Staff on ITMO Accelerator’s Winter School for Monterrey Institute of Technology

  For the second year in a row, the ITMO Accelerator has held a winter school for students of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Mexico). This year, the school brought together 24 students. During the two-week course, the school’s participants had the chance to try their hand at developing their own projects from scratch.

• Living Paintings, Eco-Friendly Education and Compact Robots: The Results of “It’s Your Call!” Winter School

  The winter school "It’s Your Call!" 2020, jointly organized by ITMO University and Sberbank is over. Five days of lectures, workshops and teamwork under the leadership of a mentor allowed each of the eighteen teams to complete their own project and defend it as a short presentation. Top six projects made it to the finals, while the winning team received not only the opportunity to enter ITMO University without having to pass the entrance exam, but also valuable gifts – electric scooters.
