A total of 8,000 young specialists from 40 universities participated in the survey, including first- to sixth-year students and recent graduates. Apart from recommendations to applicants, the participants gave feedback on the quality of educational process and career prospects of graduates of their universities. For instance, respondents from ITMO felt most prepared to combine a full-time job with their studies.
Many of ITMO’s programs are implemented with support from leading tech companies: Yandex, Sberbank, VK, Avito, and others. These programs include special courses, practical training at these companies, internships with employment opportunities, as well as scholarships. Among the Bachelor’s programs are AI360: ML Native (Yandex and Sberbank), Software Engineering (Avito), Wireless Technologies (YADRO), Business Informatics and Data-Driven Management (Kontur), while the Master’s programs include Highload Systems (Yandex), AI Product Management (Alfa-Bank), Software Engineering and Bioeconomics and Resource Management (Gazprom Neft), Artificial Intelligence (Napoleon IT), IT Team Lead (with Samolet), Cybersecurity (with Positive Technologies), and Web Scale Systems (with VK).
Earlier, ITMO was also ranked among the top ten Russian universities with the best reputation among employers. Moreover, the university's IT graduates have the highest salaries among their peers in St. Petersburg – and the second-highest in Russia.
