In March, ITMO University received the results of a technical survey of three buildings located at Lomonosova St. 9 (Buildings 1, 3, and 4). The survey has confirmed that the collapse that had previously occurred in Building 2 has not had any effect on the other buildings’ bearing structures and foundations. Operation and use of all three buildings has been approved. In connection to this, access to Buildings 1 and 3 was granted to all ITMO staff starting on March 18. Starting on March 19, classes were resumed at Buildings 1 and 3.

Copies of the expert survey reports (in Russian) can be seen below:

Access to Building 4 had been restricted until late March due to ongoing efforts to restore the functions of the building’s fire alarm systems. Upon their conclusion, the building will be made open to the university staff. Starting on April 2, classes will resume at the building.

As per the results of the survey, the use of the first floor of the southwest wing of Building 2 for traversal between Buildings 4 and 1 is allowed.

A map of restricted and accessible areas can be seen here (areas in green are accessible, areas in red are restricted).

Building 4 is used to conduct classes for the students of faculties of Cryogenic Engineering, Food Biotechnologies and Engineering, and Secure Information Technologies, as well as physical education and sports classes for all students. A gym is also located in Building 4. After its return to operation, educational activities at the building will resume in full force. The latest class schedule will be made available via isu.ifmo.ru starting on April 1.
