Twice a year, ITMO University students have an opportunity to go abroad for an exchange semester. They can choose from over 200 of ITMO’s partner universities in 30 countries around the world. On December 29, 2019 around 7 p.m. a fire emergency occurred at one of the offices on the second floor on Birzhevaya, 14. The alarm went off, making it possible to quickly localize and put out the fire. According to the main office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in St. Petersburg, the outbreak area was no more than 8 m², and only security staff were present during the incident. There were no casualties.
On December 10-11, ITMO University will host an event dedicated to the 2014-2020 South-East Finland – Russia cross-border cooperation program. As part of the event, the stakeholders representing both countries will be able to communicate with the heads of the projects implemented under the initiative’s umbrella and give their feedback. Apart from that, young scientists and students who in the future would like to submit their projects for a grant or gain the support of Finnish partners, will have the chance to ask their more experienced colleagues for advice and exchange contacts with the organizers and representatives of Russian and international delegations. Below is the list of days off for the May holidays of 2019.
Building 4 of ITMO University’s campus at Lomonosova St. 9 will resume operation starting on April 1, 2019. The building’s fire safety systems have been returned to active mode, and access to the building has been opened via a first-floor hallway. On Monday, April 1, the building will be open to ITMO University staff, with classes resuming on Tuesday, April 2.
