5 Love Languages

A love language is a set of preferences regarding how one prefers to give or receive affection in a relationship. You might think that ways to express love are universal, and everyone equally enjoys receiving gifts and hugs, for instance, but that’s not the case! Some mostly value time spent together, others – acts of service. Not that one or the other is exclusive, but knowing what warms your (or your loved one’s) heart more than anything can help achieve mutual understanding. That’s why we highly recommend taking this science-based quiz to learn which one of the five love languages is your primary one.

The same authors also came up with the Apology Language Quiz. It helps you understand your conflict resolution preferences and navigate disagreements in relationships. Most of us could use some guidance in this area, couldn’t we?

36 Questions – How to fall in love

This is not so much a quiz, but an enjoyable way to learn more about your partner and grow even closer. However, it also works if you take it by yourself for self-reflection. The questions were developed by psychologists who studied if it’s possible to make two strangers fall in love. The idea is that answering these 36 questions together brings people closer, because they learn a lot of things about each other, including their vulnerable sides. The whole process should take about an hour. Consider making it a part of your next date night!

Attachment Styles and Close Relationships

According to psychology, there are four attachment styles: secure, fearful-avoidant, dismissing-avoidant, and preoccupied. In a perfect world, we would all have a secure one, but that is unfortunately not the case. Luckily, we can work on that, and the first self-improvement step to take is always the same – know thyself! This quiz will help you with that. Take it to learn more about different types of attachment and find out how to build more secure bonds with others.

The Empathi Relationship Quiz

Empathi, an online therapy and counseling service, developed a quiz that can help navigate your current (or past) relationship. You can either take it with your partner or alone. In the latter case, keep an important relationship from your past in mind to gain insights about it. The results will include a thorough report on both partners’ individual features, as well as tips to strengthen your connection and mutual understanding.
