From Darkness to Light is a newly-opened exhibition of jewelry at the Fabergé Museum, inspired by the concept of self-discovery and the image of a butterfly flying to the light. Aside from that, the exhibition also touches upon the extinction of rare animal species and the fragile beauty of the world.

Rock Hits at St. Petersburg Philharmonia is two hours of legendary movie soundtracks – including scores from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series – and Queen’s greatest hits, from A Kind of Magic to The Show Must Go On and everything in between. It’s Beatles weekend in St. Pete! On the deck is a market of local brands by Provocateur Group, a slew of events by STUDIO 42, and a live rock concert by SOUND (tickets here) – all themed after the all-time British rock band. Maple Festival

As leaves begin to change color, it’s time to head into nature (or at least nearby green oases)! This weekend, St. Petersburg Botanical Garden is hosting the Maple Festival, which will include 50 maple types and a fun-packed program to enjoy. The program promises scenic walks in the park, a mime show, arts & crafts workshops, and more.

The Line. Stroke. Spot display refers to the classical chapters of Russian art history, presenting the works of the 20th century's top artists, among which are Mikhail Vrubel, Valentin Serov, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, and many more.

Netsuke Masters. Japanese Miniature Sculptures of the 18th-20th centuries

The Netsuke Masters exhibition at the Hermitage Museum features around 200 masterful sculptures made by prominent Japanese masters between the 18th and 20th centuries and explores the history of miniature carving from its origin to present day.

In the Images of St. Petersburg

See the city of St. Petersburg through the eyes of notable painters from the early 19th to the late 20th centuries. On view is a collection of paintings and graphics – totaling over 100 seminal works – that forms an all-encompassing portrait of the city as seen by painters of varied epochs and genres.
