In honor of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, the Manege is hosting a large-scale themed installation exploring the feats of the home front workers. At its core are the seven key areas of life – transport, industry, economics, science, medicine, agriculture, and culture – and the challenges that they faced during wartime. On display are over 100 original items, artifacts, documents, photographs, and recordings.

It all started with a sacred space, which then turned into a rock club and a movie theater, and ended up as a church again – life's been kinda crazy for Annenkirche. Before its grand renovation, the Lutheran church is hosting an all-encompassing display that will take visitors through the many pages of the church’s life, from its establishment in the early 18th century (it’s almost the same age as St. Pete itself!) all the way to the present day.
