Concert and lecture Art Dialogue: Switzerland. 20th Century. Art Nouveau, Symbolism, Expressionism

In the spotlight will be three painters, Arnold Böcklin, Ferdinand Hodler, and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, whose lives were linked to Switzerland and whose art represents the evolution of visual expression in 1890-1920. Narrated by the Hermitage’s Pavel Deyneka, the lecture will be accompanied by music of German composers of the time.

Fontanka SUP Festival

Every year in early August, Fontanka gets a makeover as hundreds of SUP surfers dressed to the nines venture down the river. You can find a spot on the river’s embankment or one of the bridges across it to watch the participants and pick your favorite costumes. Once they complete their track, participants will assemble at the Field of Mars for the announcement of winners in different categories and an amusement program.

Off-road enthusiast Yuri Ovchinnikov has traveled Russia, Mongolia, Sweden, and many other corners of the world, always hunting for the perfect shot: the perfect stillness of winter, the shining moon above a forest road, the fog coating a river’s delta. Join him on these travels at this exhibition.

Dead and Alive: Collaboration

Wouldn’t it be curious to collaborate with artists and thinkers long-gone? International artist Pavel Kir thought just that – this exhibition is the result of the artist’s inner dialogue with Magritte, Malevich, Klimt, and other greats of the past. Analog works are accompanied by video art co-created with neural networks, resulting in a truly unique atmosphere.

Arena Di Verona: Carmen

As always, thanks to TheatreHD, we can visit the world’s most renowned stages just by stepping into a cinema hall. This time, experience one of Bizet’s most famous operas, Carmen, in a 2022 revival of the iconic 1995 production at Arena Di Verona.
