For the past six years, ITMO has been among the top three universities in Russia – and the absolute leader in St. Petersburg. Since last year, graduates’ average salary went up by 3% – from 290,000 to 300,000 rubles per month.
The ranking by Superjob and Roscosmos analyzes the expected salaries of IT graduates between 2020 and 2025. That includes those who work in development, information security, testing, data analysis, and other IT fields. The ranking reflects salaries candidates can expect.
According to the statistics, the median salaries of graduates from top technical universities continue to increase, with most universities that secured their positions in this year’s ranking showing growth that outpaces inflation. Average salaries grew by over 6.28%, while inflation reached 5.86% in Russia and 5.25% in Moscow, according to Rosstat.
The first place in the ranking went to Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, followed by ITMO University and National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (second place) – and then Lomonosov Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and HSE University (third place)
