• ITMO University Joins the FISU Healthy Campus Program

  The university has recently received the healthy campus certificate from the International University Sports Federation (FISU). This initiative aims to promote a healthy and green lifestyle, as well as physical activity, sustainable development, and gender equality in universities across the world. Program representatives commended the university's achievements in sports and ecology, as well as its Well-Being strategic project, which will all be soon featured in the FISU Healthy Campus’s best practices collection and thus provide guidance for other universities worldwide.

• Best Practices and Innovative Projects: Recap of National Student Sports Forum at ITMO University

  On December 2-4, ITMO University hosted the VIII National Forum devoted to the topical issues of further development of student sports in Russia. The opening speech was delivered by Grigory Gurov, the deputy minister of Science and Higher Education. The conference brought together the representatives of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Russian Student Sports Union, the Association of Russian Student Sports Clubs, and rectors of various Russian universities to discuss the county’s priorities in student sports and ways to develop student sports leagues and clubs. • Priority 2030 National Program: ITMO Team Presents its 2030 Development Strategy Within Research Leadership Track

  Starting on October 1, Russian universities started to defend their development strategies within the research leadership track of the Priority 2030 National Program. The authors of the most innovative ideas will receive a special grant of up to 1 billion rubles, which can be used to facilitate the implementation of advanced research and the creation of high-tech products and technologies, as well as strengthen the university’s human capacity in research and development.

• ITMO Student and Employee Anna Voloshina Named Among St. Petersburg’s Top Graduates 2021

  The annual awards ceremony in honor of St. Petersburg’s best graduates was recently held at the Peter and Paul Fortress. Among the top graduates was Anna Voloshina who completed her Master’s degree at ITMO’s Faculty of Technological Management and Innovations and is also an employee at ITMO’s Strategic Communications Department.

• ITMO Opens Admissions Office Branch at Sevkabel Port

  You can now learn more about ITMO’s educational programs and submit your application in ways other than online or at the Lomonosova St. 9 campus. A new ITMO pop-up office has opened its doors to visitors at one of St. Petersburg’s top public spaces – Sevkabel Port. The new space includes interactive areas where visitors can learn about science and the world, meet dancing robots, and have a look at pieces from the university’s Museum of Optics.
