  • ITMO Opens Lab to Train AI Infosecurity Experts

    Over last year alone, the demand for information security experts in AI grew by 30%. In parallel to this growing demand, there is also a lack of professionals with the necessary qualifications for this field on the market. One of the reasons for it is that no one trains such specialists. In response to that, ITMO and the company Raft launched a research laboratory called LLM Security Lab that is meant to teach students to work in the field of infosec for LLM and AI business solutions.

  • ITMO Rector Vladimir Vasilyev: “Technological Leadership Is Impossible Without Mathematics”

    Vladimir Vasilyev, the Rector of ITMO University, believes that training highly qualified IT and AI specialists is impossible without an in-depth study of mathematics and computer science at universities that needs to combine the expertise of the country’s top educational establishments and tech giants. The statement was voiced at a Yandex.Education press conference, which was held today, on August 27, in Moscow. The event was also attended by Maksut Shadayev, the Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the rectors of the Higher School of Economics, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and the Siberian State Medical University, as well as the leaders of educational departments at T-Bank, Sberbank, and VK.
