• I Am a Professional: Programming & IT Track Among Contest's Most Popular

  In the first round of the I Am a Professional contest, the track Programming & Information Technologies, organized by ITMO, proved to be one of the most popular options with students. The contest features a total of over 70 tracks in 10 different fields, from computer science to healthcare.

• ITMO, HTML Academy and Yandex To Host Contest for Frontend Developers

  On February 18, HTML Academy online school will host Russia’s first national frontend development contest, organized in collaboration with ITMO and Yandex. Joining online, participants will solve real-life industry cases on developing web interfaces to be then ranked by their performance, as well as awarded within two categories – Best in Design and Best in JS. Those who make the top of the ranking, as well as winners in each category, will be invited for jobs or internships to Yandex and other leading Russian IT companies.

• Russian Team Claims Four Gold Medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics 2023

  Participating under a neutral flag, a team of Russian school students brought home a haul of four gold medals at the recent International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). The competition took place in Hungary and drew contestants from over 90 countries. The team was coached by Andrey Stankevich, an associate professor at ITMO’s Information Technologies and Programming Faculty, and Alexey Maleev, the head of the IT Education Development Center at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
