• ITMO Delegates Discuss the Development of Public Spaces During a Visit to Finland

  ITMO University staff have taken part in the “The Baltics. Sails of the World” visit to Helsinki under the aegis of Startup Connect, a project forming part of the 2014-2020 South-East Finland – Russia cross-border cooperation program jointly funded by the European Union, Finland and Russia. Over the course of three days, the Russian delegation toured Finland’s largest creative spaces and startup hubs and discussed collaborations with the representatives of the region’s business community and administrations.

  On July 6, Coca-Cola HBC and ITMO University signed an exclusive cooperation agreement which will result in more opportunities for ITMO students willing to do an internship or conduct research at the company. The agreement also implies joint social, volunteer and sports projects.

• Startup Veteran on Beginners’ Common Mistakes: A Founder’s Main KPI is Staying Alive

  Steve Korshakov helped make a messenger for VK.com, won competitions set up by Telegram, and worked as a programmer for JetBrains. Yet what he considers his biggest achievement are the projects he developed on his own. Korshakov has founded half a dozen startups and acquired valuable experience through winning, losing, and partnering up with America’s top accelerator Y Combinator. • Business Software: Seminar at Dassault Systèmes Company

  Earlier this March, the Future Technologies ITMO Accelerator and ITMO.TECH held a meeting with representatives of Dassault Systèmes, a world leader in the field of 3D development, design, and marketing. Several projects conducted by ITMO University researchers and selected by the jury were presented at the meeting. In the future, some of these projects will be involved in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes and will be able to use the company’s products in their work.
