• Priority 2030 National Program: ITMO Team Presents its 2030 Development Strategy Within Research Leadership Track

  Starting on October 1, Russian universities started to defend their development strategies within the research leadership track of the Priority 2030 National Program. The authors of the most innovative ideas will receive a special grant of up to 1 billion rubles, which can be used to facilitate the implementation of advanced research and the creation of high-tech products and technologies, as well as strengthen the university’s human capacity in research and development.

• First in Russia: ITMO Launches New PhD Program in AI

  The new list of fields for PhD and DSc degrees now includes topical fields – among them are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. ITMO University has launched the first and so far the only PhD program in Russia in the field of AI. Applications for the program for the next academic year open this summer. • ITMO Researchers Develop Algorithm System to Boost Efficiency of COVID-19 Treatment

  Scientists at ITMO University have created a system of algorithms that uses data gathered from COVID-19 patients to suggest optimal treatment for every patient. The technology was originally developed for the treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, but, given the current events, the system was taught to help COVID-19 patients. The algorithms are based on Russian and international clinical protocols.
